Fan Blade Aerodynamics and Wind Tunnel Testing
Fan Blade Aerodynamics and Wind Tunnel Testing
A fan's "air" and "sound" are both dictated by blades. With 15 years in motors and blades, Hebron independently developed low-noise blades with excellent wind-cut performance.
Blade aerodynamics: Airflow depends on the synergy of blade profile, angle of attack (blade-to-flow angle), and RPM. Excessive angle causes flow separation and turbulent abnormal sound; high tip speed spikes wind-cut noise. Hebron optimizes blade angle, curvature, and blade count to balance airflow and noise even at high RPM—SD01/SD03's 14,000 RPM held under 48dB, H6's pure-copper BLDC 4.6 m/s at only <38dB.
Wind tunnel and anechoic verification: Hebron operates a wind tunnel lab and a large anechoic chamber, equipped with anemometers to quantify wind speed, airflow, and noise curves, and to identify abnormal sound (motor resonance, blade imbalance). A single-sided vertical balancer corrects rotor dynamic balance, reducing vibration noise at the source.
Conclusion: Blades are not "just spinnable" but the combined result of aerodynamics, material, and manufacturing precision. Wind tunnel + anechoic chamber + dynamic balance form the engineering guarantee behind Hebron's "ultra-quiet" reputation.
